My name is Brent Edwards and I am a Principal Lead Consultant for Magenic and a co-founder of the Twin Cities Windows 8 User Group. I am an accomplished software developer, architect, mentor, and speaker with over nine years of experience developing innovative solutions with Microsoft technologies. I have worked on projects with ASP.NET MVC and jQuery, WPF, Silverlight, and Windows 8. I am the author of Charmed, an open source, cross-platform MVVM support library for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. In addition to Microsoft technologies, I develop applications for the Android platform. My apps have over two million downloads and I was selected by Google as a Top Android Developer for their Device Seeding Program.
My wife, Amy, and I have four wonderful children: Robert, Grace, Clarabelle and Lilyanna. I enjoy wakeboarding, waterskiing, snowboarding, hunting and mountain biking. I have been a show skier for over 20 years on both the amateur and professional level. Before having children, I was sponsored by a wakeboarding company, CWB, at the amateur level.
